1. Is it hard to work an architect out of state?
No, with today's means of communication, i.e. phone, email, fax, postal services and federal express, it is almost as good as being there.
2. How much do architectural design services cost?
My fees are custom tailor to meet your specific needs. Some people only want the design, some want the design and technical drawings used to obtain a permit, some want me to help them select a builder and then some want me to be on board for all questions the builder may have during construction. Some want me to come out and look at the construction at different stages to ensure the quality matches the design drawings. A budget for architectural services should be between $10.00 and $20.00 per sq ft of enclosed space depending on the level of service.
3. Do you offer stock plans?
Yes, I have created the "Right Plans Collection" book which has over 30 custom designed homes ranging in size from 2,000 sf up to 9,000. This book which has 8 1/2x11 colored renderings and floor plans sells for $100.00. The technical drawings for all of these designs are available for sale starting at $2,500 for the smallest design and ranging up to $5,000.

4. Can a stock design be changed?
Yes, stock designs are blueprints that ready for client modifications, siting on the lot, local code and construction technique modifications. I can offer these services as well and it is usually cheaper since I have the designs in my cad system. The cost will depend on the level of changes required to meet the requirements listed above.
